Comenta Luis Benegas que este objeto fue donado por el Dr. Chiflet para el Centro Histórico Documental y tuvieron que ir a buscarlo a su casa. Para poder sacar la volqueta fue necesario desarmar una ventana. Estuvo siempre expuesta en la entrada del Centro Histórico Documental y luego en la entrada del museo cuando se mudó a la intendencia hasta la apertura del actual edificio del museo.
No está seguro si los durmientes sobre los que está asentada actualmente la volqueta son de El Páramo o son del trencito del CAP. Es posible que se hayan mezclado.
